Firearm Consignment Sales

Looking to sell a firearm or collection? LA Armory LLC offers a straightforward and secure consignment service to help you get the best value with minimal effort on your part.

How It Works:

  • Bring your firearm(s) to our store for an in-person appraisal.

  • We’ll help you determine a fair and competitive starting price based on current market value and demand.

  • Once consigned, we take care of all marketing, legal transfer requirements, and customer interaction on your behalf.

  • Your identity remains confidential — we serve as the sole point of contact with buyers.

  • We ensure that all purchasers undergo the required background checks and meet all legal qualifications to own a firearm.

What You Can Expect:

  • Your firearm will be showcased in-store and online to maximize visibility to hundreds of potential buyers.

  • We ask that all consignment items remain with us for a minimum of 30 days to give them adequate exposure.

  • There is no service charge unless you decide to retrieve your firearm before the 30-day minimum, in which case a $10 bookkeeping fee will apply.

  • If your firearm does not sell and you wish to reclaim it, you will be required to complete a NICS background check before the firearm can be returned to you.

We strictly adhere to all Federal, State, and Local firearms laws, ensuring every transaction is handled legally and professionally.

Layaway Policy

At LA Armory LLC, we proudly offer a free 45-day layaway option on our in-stock firearms.

Standard Layaway Terms (45 Days)

  • A minimum deposit of 25% is required to start a layaway.

  • Payments are due every two weeks, and each payment must be at least 25% of the total price (including tax).

  • The full balance must be paid within 45 calendar days of the layaway start date.

  • All layaway payments are non-refundable. If the balance is not paid in full within 45 days, the item will be returned to inventory and all monies paid will be forfeited.

  • Firearms on layaway cannot be exchanged for other items once the layaway has been started.

  • The firearm will be transferred only after the balance is paid in full and the buyer passes all applicable background checks.

  • Accepted payment methods: Cash or card.

This option is best suited for used or hard-to-find items, as we cannot guarantee their future availability beyond 45 days.

Extended Pay-As-You-Go Option (No Time Limit)

If you’d prefer a longer time frame to pay for an item — even one not currently in stock — we offer a flexible pre-order payment option:

  • Choose a firearm you’d like to order.

  • Make payments at your own pace.

  • Once approximately 75% of the total cost is paid, we will order the item in for you.

  • This is a great option for new or special-order items when you want to budget gradually over time.

Pawn Services

At LA Armory LLC, we accept firearms for pawn. If you’re unfamiliar with how pawn loans work, we’ve outlined the process below. If you’re ready to pawn a firearm, stop by the store — no appointment needed.

Important Information:

  • We are a licensed firearms dealer and fully comply with all federal, state, and local laws.

  • All pawned firearms must have a clearly visible serial number.

  • All firearm serial numbers are submitted to local law enforcement to be checked against theft reports.

  • When you come to redeem a pawned firearm, you must pass a NICS background check at the time of pickup — no exceptions.

What is a Pawn Loan?

A pawn loan is a quick and secure way to borrow money using personal property as collateral — in this case, your firearm. There’s no credit check involved.

  • You bring in your firearm and we offer a loan based on its value.

  • We hold the firearm as collateral for 30 days.

  • You can redeem the firearm at any time within the 30-day period by paying back the loan amount plus a 25% interest fee (as mandated by Georgia law).

  • Can’t pay it all back? No problem. You can renew the loan for another 30 days by paying just the interest.

  • You may continue renewing as many times as needed.

Common Questions:

Does pawning affect my credit?
No. Pawn loans do not involve your credit score or credit history and will not impact your credit in any way.

How much can I borrow?
Loan amounts are based on the item’s value, condition, demand, and resale potential. For repeat customers with a history of redeeming their loans, we may offer higher loan amounts.

Can I get a quote over the phone?
We cannot provide quotes over the phone, as loan values depend on the item’s physical condition and functionality, which must be verified in person.

Do pawn shops deal in stolen goods?
No. All items taken in are reported to law enforcement with detailed descriptions and customer identification. Less than 0.1% of pawned items are found to be stolen, according to national studies.

What if I decide not to redeem my pawn?
If you choose not to repay the loan, the firearm becomes property of LA Armory LLC after the grace period and may be sold. No further action is required from you.

Firearm Transfers

Before buying a firearm online and paying shipping and transfer fees, call us first — we may be able to order it for you at a lower total cost.

Transfer Services We Offer:

  • Standard Transfers: $35 per firearm (GunBroker, Bud’s, etc.)

  • Special Offer: Transfers are free when you spend $120 or more in-store at the time of transfer pickup.

  • Wholesale Transfers: 15% of the total invoice or $50, whichever is greater (CDNN, J&G Sales, etc.)

  • NFA Transfers:

    • $75 for individuals

    • $100 for trusts (includes one responsible person form; additional persons are $5 each)

    • Machine guns: 1.5% of selling price ($100 minimum), plus $25 for trust transfers

Note: We do not prepare or manage NFA trusts, nor do we provide legal referrals.

Transfer Process

  • We can facilitate transfers for U.S. citizens with valid identification:

    • Handguns: Georgia Driver’s License required.

    • Long Guns: Valid driver’s license from any state.

  • Two Types of Transfers:

1. Person-to-Person (Local) Transfers:
Great for private sales where both parties want the transaction recorded and legally completed.

  • Both parties must come to the store with valid ID.

  • We will log the firearm into our records and perform the transfer after a successful background check on the buyer.

2. Dealer-to-Dealer (Long-Distance) Transfers:
Common for online sales or out-of-state purchases.

  • The shipping dealer must include a signed copy of their FFL and an invoice or packing slip with:

    • Purchaser’s name and phone number

    • Firearm details (make, model, serial number)

  • We must receive a copy of the dealer’s FFL before accepting the shipment.

Storage Fee: Due to limited space, transfers not picked up within 14 days of delivery will incur a $10 per week storage fee until retrieved.

Shipping Firearms

Need to ship a firearm to a buyer or family member in another state? We can help.

Shipping Requirements:

  • Transfer fee: $35, plus actual shipping costs

  • Firearm must be fully packaged and ready to ship

  • Provide a copy of the receiving dealer’s FFL

    • If the dealer won’t release it to you directly, ask them to email it to: laarmory@gmail.com

    • We can also send our FFL upon request

You’ll also need to provide a copy of your valid government-issued photo ID.

Shipping costs depend on:

  • Box size

  • Weight

  • Insurance value (if requested)

Custom Kydex Holsters

We now offer custom Kydex holsters, perfect for firearms with lights, lasers, or optics that are difficult to fit with off-the-shelf holsters.

Options:

  • Inside-the-waistband (IWB) and Outside-the-waistband (OWB) available

  • Multiple designs and patterns to choose from

Pricing:

  • Standard Holster: $40

  • Add-ons:

    • Pattern: +$5

    • Light/Laser accommodation: +$5

    • Optic Cut (IWB only): +$5

    • Leather belt attachments: +$10

    • Paddle attachment: +$15

We offer basic gunsmith services in-store and refer more advanced work to a trusted local professional.

  • Bore Sighting: $5 (Free with optic purchase)

  • Pistol Sight Installation: Starting at $10 (Free with sight purchase)

  • Basic Gun Cleaning: $15
